A2 Slovak course level

This course is designed for students who have already built a solid foundation in A2 Slovak and are ready to communicate with greater confidence and independence.

At this stage, you will expand your vocabulary and learn to talk in more detail about everyday situations, experiences, plans, opinions and the world around you. You will practise longer conversations, explaining what happened, describing situations and expressing your ideas more naturally.

You will continue developing A2 grammar, cases and verb structures, while learning to connect your ideas and build more complex sentences.

Lessons focus on speaking and practical use of Slovak, with grammar and vocabulary introduced in context and actively practised during class.

We use our own teaching materials, exercises and speaking activities. Everything covered during your lessons – grammar explanations, vocabulary, examples, exercises, notes and homework – is collected in a shared online document that remains available throughout the course.

You will study in a mini-group of 3–6 students, ensuring plenty of speaking time and an interactive learning environment.

The course includes a final review and progress feedback session, where you will review key material and receive individual feedback from your teacher on your progress and recommended next steps.

Learning a language is a journey, not a single course.

This Mid A2 course continues from Lower A2 and takes you further through the A2 level, building on the grammar, vocabulary and communication skills you have already developed.

Our courses follow a structured CEFR learning sequence based on the Krížom-krážom curriculum developed by Comenius University in Bratislava. We use it as a roadmap to ensure that all important topics are covered in a logical order.

One Slovak Friends course typically covers approximately 3–4 learning units, depending on the course format, frequency and pace of the group.

Your learning journey may look like this:

    Full Beginner → Lower A1 → Mid A1 → Upper A1 → Start A2 → Lower A2 → Mid A2 → Upper A2 → …

When your course ends, your group can continue with the next A2 course from exactly where you finished. You enrol in one course at a time, so there is no need to commit to the entire A2 level in advance.

If you need to reach a particular CEFR level by a specific date – for example, for an exam, work or residency requirements – a standard course once or twice a week may not be intensive enough. Contact us and we can recommend a more intensive study option.
