A1 Slovak Reset for Ukrainian Speakers

You can communicate in Slovak – now let’s make it correct.

This course is designed specifically for Ukrainian speakers who already understand and communicate in Slovak, whether they have studied the language formally or simply picked it up through everyday life in Slovakia.

You may already be able to manage conversations at work, in shops, at school, or with Slovak friends and colleagues – but you are not always sure whether your Slovak is grammatically correct. Perhaps you speak intuitively, mix Slovak with Ukrainian, or have never properly learned the foundations.

This course will help you organise and strengthen your Slovak from the ground up.

We will systematically review the most important topics of the entire A1 level, including:

• present tense and verb conjugation
• noun and adjective forms
• gender and plural
• the accusative case
• the locative case and basic prepositions
• past tense
• essential vocabulary and sentence structures
• common mistakes made by Ukrainian speakers
• practical everyday communication

The aim is not to start Slovak from zero, but to fill in the gaps, correct common mistakes and build a solid grammatical foundation for further study.

Because Ukrainian and Slovak are related languages, Ukrainian speakers often understand Slovak very quickly. However, this similarity can also lead to habits and mistakes that become difficult to correct later. In this course, we will focus on the differences that matter and help you speak more naturally, accurately and confidently.
